DISTANCES MEASURED TO THE CENTER OF THE GREEN.

WHITE FLAG: FRONT

PLACING:

ON ALL FAIRWAYS, BALL MUST BE MARKED, LIFTED BY HAND AND PLACED WITHIN ONE CLUB LENGTH.

FAIRWAY DIVOTS, BUNKERS AND GREENS:

USE OF SANDBAGS COMPULSORY TO FILL DIVOTS. DO NOT REPLACE GRASS SODS. RAKE BUNKERS NEATLY. REPAIR OF PITCH MARKS COMPULSORY WITH A PITCH REPAIR FORK.

ALL DISTANCE MARKERS, OWL POLES AND WOODEN CONSTRUCTIONS INSIDE THE BOUNDRY FENCES ARE DECLARED IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS. PROCEED UNDER RULE 24.2-B (FREE DROP AT NEAREST POINT OF RELIEF, BUT NOT CLOSER TO THE HOLE)

FAUNA AND FLORA:

PLEASE SAVE AND PROTECT OUR FAUNA AND FLORA.
NO SNAKES ARE TO BE KILLED OR INJURED ON THE COURSE.

OUT OF BOUNDS:

ALL WHITE MARKERS , LEFT OF NO’S 3 & 12, 9 & 18, RIGHT OF NO’S 6 & 15, ALL FENCES, CLUBHOUSE, PARKING AREAS AND PUTTING GREEN AT 9 & 18.

CELL PHONES:

USE OF CELL PHONES ON COURSE AND IN CLUBHOUSE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

YOUNG TREES:

ALL YOUNG TREES MARKED WITH POLES OR UNDER 2M HIGH MUST BE CONSIDERED AS GUR AND RELIEF AS PER RULE 25.1 MUST BE TAKEN. (COMPUSORY FREE DROP)

GUR:

ALL AREAS MARKED WITH WHITE CHALK ARE AREAS OF “GROUND UNDER REPAIR” FROM WHICH PLAY IS PROHIBITED IF A PLAYERS BALL COMES TO REST IN THIS AREA, OR IF THE GUR AREA INTERFERES WITH THE PLAYERS STANCE OR AREA OF HIS INTENDED SWING, THE PLAYER MUST TAKE RELIEF BY PLAYING FROM THE DESIGNATED DROP ZONE, OR WHEN SUCH DROP ZONE DOES NOT EXIST, TAKE RELIEF UNDER RULE 25.1

GROOVE AROUND GREENS:

THE BALL MAY, WITHOUT PENALTY, BE LIFTED AND PLACED IN THE NEAREST POSITION TO WHERE IT LAY THAT IS NOT CLOSER TO THE HOLE AND AVOIDS INTERFERENCE BY THE CONDITION – FLAG MUST BE ATTENDED. RULE 33-8/24.

PLAYING SEQUENCE OF HOLES:

DURING COMPETITIONS, WHEN PLAY STARTED FROM ANY OTHER HOLES THAN #1, THE SEQUENCE OF PLAYING SHALL BE PROGRESSIVELY NUMERICAL, IE. #4 – 9, # 10 – 18 AND THEN #1 – 3 OR #4 – 9 AND THEN #1 -3 IN A 9 HOLE COMPETITION.

LATE ARRIVAL:

ANY PLAYER PLAYING IN A INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION, ARRIVING MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR HIS/HER STIPULATED TEE-OFF TIME SHALL BE DISQUALIFIED. A PLAYER ARRIVING LATE BUT WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF THE STIPULATED TEE-OFF TIME WILL BE PENALIZED BY 2 STROKES/POINTS. IN A BETTER BALL OR ALLIANCE COMPETITION, ANY PLAYER ARRIVING LATE WILL BE ENTITLED TO JOIN HIS/HER PLAYING PARTNERS WHO HAVE STARTED PLAY AT THE STIPULATED TEE-OFF TIME WITHOUT PENALTY. RULE 6-3/a.

ATTENDANCE OF PRIZE GIVING:

IT IS THE POLICY OF STILBAAI GOLF CLUB THAT WINNERS MUST ATTEND PRIZE GIVING. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR SPONSORED DAYS AND FOR OTHER COMPETITIONS ONLY EXCEPTIONAL CASES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE OR IN THE CLUB HOUSE

DRESS RULES

ON THE COURSE:

PLAYERS AND GUESTS USING THE COURSE SHALL BE DRESSED NEATLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH DRESS RULES IN FORCE AT HIS/HER HOME CLUB AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE FOLLWING:

UNACCEPTABLE:

  • BAREFOOT OR SHOES WITHOUT SOCKS

  • SANDALS OR HEELLESS SHOES (ROCKIES, STROPS, ETC)

  • ANY TYPE OF FOOTWEAR THAT WILL INFLICK DAMAGE TO THE COURSE, PARTICULARLY TO THE GREENS.

  • SWIM WEAR

  • NO SHIRTS, T-SHIRTS OR SLEEVELESS (MEN) SHIRTS.

  • SPORTS (PT) PANTS AND TRACKSUIT PANTS.

IN THE CLUBHOUSE:

ALL PERSONS USING THE CLUBHOUSE SHALL BE NEATLY DRESSED IN AT LEAST ACCEPTABLE SPORTS AND LEISURE WEAR.

UNACCEPTABLE:

  • BAREFOOT

  • SWIMWEAR

  • SLEEVELESS (MEN) SHIRTS

  • TATTERD OR HOLED JEANS

  • CAPS OR HATS.
