INDIVIDUAL STABLEFORD
FORMAT:
THE COMPETITION IS VERY COMMON SCORING SYSTEM WHEREBY POINTS ARE AWARDED ON EACH HOLE ACCORDING TO HOW THE PLAYER DOES AGAINST THEIR OWN HANDICAP
HOW IT WORKS:
-
Make par on a hole, based on your handicap, and get 2 points. A handicap- adjusted score of one over par is 1 point, one under par is 3 points, tow under par is 4 points and so on. At the end of 18 holes the player adds up their score on each hole for a total on 18 holes.
-
The player with the highest score wins the competition.

FORMAT:
THE COMPETITION IS PLAYED AS A BETTERBALL STABLEFORD
HOW IT WORKS:

If the result after dividing by 3 is 0.4 or lower, then the lower handicap is used, if the result is 0.5 or higher then the higher handicap is used. i.e 10.4 becomes 10 or 10.5 becomes 11.
-
Both players (Male or Female) must use the same tee box, i.e White or Red.
-
Each player tees off with his own ball.
-
The Betterball team decides which drive they are going to use.
-
Each player then uses his own ball to play his second shot.

HOW IT WORKS:
-
Each player plays of a scratch handicap i.e on a par 3 the player scores a 3 for 2 or a 4 for 1, on a par 4 the player scores a 4 for 2 or a 5 for 1, on a par 5 the player scores a 5 for 2 or a 6 for 1.

At the end of 18 holes the player adds up their score and then adds their handicap to the score.
-
The player with the highest score wins the competition
YELLOW BALL COMPETITION
FORMAT:
THE COMPETITION IS PLAYED AS A BETTERBALL STBLEFORD
HOW IT WORKS:
-
The Club will supply each two ball with a yellow ball
-
The Betterball team decides which player will use the yellow ball on all the even holes and which player will use the yellow ball on all the odd holes.
-
On each hole the yellow balls score is doubled i.e if the yellow ball scores 2 points it is then recorded as a 4.
-
As with a Betterball competition the best score on each hole is used, so if the yellow ball makes a 1 which then gives that player a 2 but the other partner makes a 3 then the higher score is used.
-
At the end of the day the yellow ball must be handed back to the club.
-
If the two ball loses their yellow ball they then continue with the competition but will not be able to double any of their scores.
